ESSEX, Mo. -- Evelyn Lou Pulliam, 76, formerly of Dexter, Mo., died at her home in Essex Saturday, March 31, 2001.
She was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Stoddard County, daughter of Jim Daniel and Laura Belle Swinney Wyatt.
Pulliam was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Essex for 47 years. She and Thomas Pulliam were married June 8, 1940, in Bloomfield, Mo.
Survivors include four sons, James Pulliam of Dexter, George Pulliam of Grayridge, Mo., Daniel Pulliam of Essex, Virgil Pulliam of Bernie, Mo.; five daughters, Mary Northern of Dexter, Betty Lampkin of Bergman, Ark., and Laura Heppe, Ruth Teauge, Kay Etherton, all of Essex; four sisters, Agnes Pike of Las Vegas, Nev., Lorine Hunsaker of Jackson, Mo., Oretha Bennett of Pontiac, Mich., and Bessie Buttrey of Charleston, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Essex, with the Revs. Ronnie Parker, Gary Teauge and Donnie Fowler officiating. Burial will be in the Essex Cemetery.
