Evelyn Lane

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Evelyn H. Lane, 93, of Perryville died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 21, 1911, at Fruitland, daughter of George and Addell Caldwell McNeely. She and Robert B. Lane were married Dec. 27, 1928. He died April 3, 1989. They were married 60 years.

Mrs. Lane was a case worker for the Missouri Department of Family Services. She also farmed with her husband from 1930 to 1967 at Brazeau, Mo., and then moved to Perryville. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Perryville.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline Lane Ludwig and Leonard E. Ludwig of Oak Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Paul, Guy and Melvin McNeely; four sisters, Elsie and Barney Graham, Eunice McNeely, Winness and Arthur Hawkins, and Marguerite and Davie Noland.

Mrs. Lane will rest in state at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. today.

Then she will be taken to First Presbyterian Church in Perryville for service at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Craig S. King Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Pallbearers will be Louis McNeely, Jamie McNeely, Charles Vogt, Keith Ruesler, Ronald Noland and Ronald Heuring.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
