Evelyn H. Sachse Borgfield, 87, 174 Peek Lane, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 1994, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born Jan. 8, 1907, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Juan F. and Anna Carolyn Happel Hawn. She married Earl Sachse Oct. 27, 1929. He died Sept. 21, 1938. She later married Adolph Borgfield Aug. 5, 1945. He died Sept. 2, 1987.
Borgfield was co-owner of Western Auto at Jackson 35 years, retiring in 1977. She was a volunteer many years at Cape LaCroix, and was a member of Hilltoppers Square Dance Club, New McKendree United Methodist Church and its Esther Circle of United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Anna Peek and Dortha Strack of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson after 4 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Otto Steinhaus officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
