EAST PRAIRIE -- Evelyn C. Marshall, 68, of East Prairie, died Friday, Jan. 5, 1996, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born March 23, 1927, at Kennett, daughter of Robert E. and Bessie Chailland Marshall.
Marshall was a teacher in rural Mississippi County and had also operated a hair salon several years. She was a member of First Church of God and was active in the Foster Grandparents Program.
Survivors include five brothers, Van Marshall of Jackson, John Marshall of Bowie, Md., Charles, Edward and Herbert Marshall of East Prairie; three sisters, Peggy Adkisson of St. Louis, Robbie Eastman of Jackson, and Barbara Byrum of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with Larry Smith and Bill Adkisson officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery near Charleston.
