Evelyn Brown

Evelyn Hubbard Brown, 102, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 22, 1918, in East Prairie, Missouri, to Bird and Iva Mae Allen Hubbard.

She and Claud P. Brown were married July 18, 1937, at East Prairie. He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1975.

Evelyn was a beautician. She loved gardening.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two sons, John (Pamela) Brown of Cape Girardeau and Claud Michael (Carol) Brown of St. Louis; daughter-in-law, Judy Brown of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Dennis Brown; three brothers and three sisters.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
