SIKESTON -- Five-month-old Evelyn Gene Candace Basinger of Sikeston died Saturday, March 22, 1997, at her home. She was born Sept. 24, 1996, in Sikeston, daughter of Clayton Eugene Basinger and Ruby Haney Elkins. She is survived by her parents; a sister, Emily Francine Genive Basinger of Sikeston; grandparents, Carl Basinger and Iva Browning, both of Sikeston, and Steven Haney of Charleston and Kathy Fowler of Cape Girardeau; and great-grandparents, Sonny and Perline Linhart of Marble Hill and Hurbbet and Genive Haney of near East Prairie.. ...

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Jim Wenneker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Sikeston.
