Evelin L. Probst, 76, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 13, 1934, in Jackson, daughter of Clara Hager Probst.
Evelin was a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School. She worked for the former Jackson Hosiery Mill 18 years, the former Lenco in Jackson 17 years, and the former LeeRowan in Jackson 10 years, until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.
Loving survivors include her friend for life, William McCullough of Jackson, and a number of cousins.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the church or charity of choice.
