ORAN, Mo. -- Evea Mae Freeman, 77, of Oran died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at the Miner Nursing Center in Miner, Mo.
She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Oran, daughter of William Dave and Ethel Eva Climer Carter. She and O. B. Freeman were married Feb. 14, 1944. He died Dec. 9, 1983.
She was retired from the hat factory in Oran, where she was an inspector.
Survivors include two sons, Orville "Sonny" Freeman of Ironton, Mo., and Lloyd Freeman of Oran; two daughters, Mary Alice Payne and Jo Ann Freeman, both of Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, Loyd Carter of Burleson, Texas, and Orville Carter of Euless, Texas; two sisters, Mary Ann Eftink of Oran and Norma Jean Sullivan of Irving, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, two brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Randol presiding. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery in Oran.
