ANNA, Ill. -- Evay May Harris, 97, of Anna, died Thursday, March 7, 1996, at City Care Center in Cobden. She was born Sept. 19, 1898, in Cobden, daughter of James and Laura Adams. She and Albert S. Harris were married March 27, 1926, in Herrin. He died Dec. 30, 1978...

ANNA, Ill. -- Evay May Harris, 97, of Anna, died Thursday, March 7, 1996, at City Care Center in Cobden.

She was born Sept. 19, 1898, in Cobden, daughter of James and Laura Adams. She and Albert S. Harris were married March 27, 1926, in Herrin. He died Dec. 30, 1978.

Harris was a member of First Baptist Church in Alto Pass and former member of American Legion Auxiliary in Anna.

Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today and Saturday until service time.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. DeWayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
