Eva Marie Thornton of Anna, formerly of Johnston City, died Friday at Union County Nursing Home in Anna. Thornton, 81, was born Dec. 14, 1909, in Springfield, Ill., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Desper. She was married to A. M. Thornton in 1956. He preceded her in death in 1966...
Eva Marie Thornton of Anna, formerly of Johnston City, died Friday at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.
Thornton, 81, was born Dec. 14, 1909, in Springfield, Ill., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Desper.
She was married to A. M. Thornton in 1956. He preceded her in death in 1966.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Martha Harrison of Coleman, Mich., and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard J. Desper.
Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
