EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Eva May Baker of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Raymond Hannah will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Baker, 97, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, at East Prairie Nursing Home.

She was born March 10, 1897, in Mississippi County, daughter of Charlie and Katie Baker Phipps.

Baker was a member of Cornerstone General Baptist Church in Bertrand.

Survivors include two sisters, Lucille Kaiser of St. Louis, Cecil Wellborn of East Prairie; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.
