EVA HOOD

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Eva Jane Hood, 79, of Gipsy, Mo., 79, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Hood was born Dec. 9, 1921, daughter of Louis and Bessie Corzine Jackson. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church at Puxico, Mo.

She and Berly Wallace were married in 1937 at Gipsy. He died July 26, 1945. She then married Glen Hood June 10, 1950, at Marble Hill, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Ronnie Wallace and Glen Hood, both of Puxico, Odis Hood of Zalma, Mo., and Doyle Hood of Gipsy; two daughters, Ruby Windeknecht of Perkins, Mo., and Della Shuffit of Scott City, Mo.; two brothers, Doyle Jackson and Ralph Jackson, both of Zalma; a sister, Pauline Hodson, of Pittsburgh, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, three daughters, two brothers, three sisters and three grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, with the Rev. Tim Hedge officiating. Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery at Gipsy.
