Eva "Toots" Eaker, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at Ratliff Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1910, at Flat River, daughter of Frank and Eve Young Bell. She and Orville "Peg" Eaker were married June 11, 1927, in Cape Girardeau. He died June 1, 1990.
Eaker was reared in Gordonville, and graduated from Central High School. She was a business owner on Main Street 35 years. She first owned Mar-Ker, and then owned the Town Pump 32 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Jim Eaker of Cape Girardeau; a grandson; two great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Steven MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
