PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Euline Marie Tayon, 73, of Perryville died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Perry County, daughter of George E. and Marie E. Hoffman Boxdorfer. She and Arthur J. Tayon were married March 5, 1953.
Tayon retired as a secretary from Venture Stores Executive Office. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Perry County Historical Society. She organized the first Southeast Missouri Senior Olympics. She was a former PTL secretary, Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Craig Tayon of Belleville, Ill.; two daughters, Kathleen Adams of St. Ann, Mo., Lisa Manetz of Perryville; two brothers, Steven and Keith Boxdorfer of Perryville; four sisters, Betty Brannon and Goldie Panhorst of St. Louis, Juanita Gore of Wright City, Mo., Sandra Glaub of Malden, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister and a brother.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
