FREDERICKTOWN -- Eula Fowler Townsend, 90, of Fredericktown died Sunday, June 9, 1996, at the Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown.
She was born April 6, 1906, near Glen Allen, the daughter of Michael and Clista Williams Sharp. She married August Fowler June 29, 1926. He died July 5, 1966. She married David Townsend April 6, 1969, and he died May 31, 1978.
She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include a son, Douglas Fowler of Ventura, Calif.; four daughters, Rosemary Baker of Fredericktown, Charmaine Barcus and Clara Belle Subick, both of Mount Olive, Ill., and Norma Sumner of Simi Valley, Calif.; a stepson, William Townsend of St. Louis; four stepdaughters, Helen Boyes of Kansas City, Kan., Elsie Ray of St. James, Catherine Dugan of Michigan and Norma Pletscher of Burton, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, three brothers, a sister and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Gene Robbins and Charley Hovis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
