Eula Mae "Peggy" Hoffmeister, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Oct. 6, 1917, at Neelys Landing, to Doctor Edward and Sophia C. Hahn Schenimann. She and Monroe Henry Hoffmeister were married Sept. 17, 1938, in St. Louis.
Peggy was a 1933 Central High School graduate. She was a credit analyst 16 years at Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Kent E. (Wanda) Hoffmeister of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Don R. (Karen) Hoffmeister of Nolensville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Laura (David) Miller of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Julie (Alan) Graviett of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Sara (Larry) Burch of Nolensville; six great-grandchildren, Justin and Jordan Miller, Courtney and Hunter Graviett and Lauren and Harrison Burch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and a sister.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park, with Dan Johnson officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
