EUGENE ROBERT

SCOTT CITY -- Eugene P. Robert, 90, Scott City Route 2, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 14, 1907, at Kelso, son of Charles and Ida Hohman Robert. He and Irene Clara Robert were married April 24, 1935, at Kelso. She died Jan. 23, 1990.

Robert was a self-employed farmer. He had also served as deputy sheriff and as constable in Scott County. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church at Kelso.

Survivors include a son, Wade Robert of Kelso; a daughter, Dottie Bruce of Sikeston; two brothers, Charles and Pius Robert of Kelso; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4-8 p.m. today. The parish rosary will be at 7.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
