CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Eugene R. Poe, 75, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, April 20, 1991 at his home.
He was born Dec. 11, 1915 at Egypt Mills to Charles and Anna Heuer Poe.
He was a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and served in World War II and the Korean War.
He married Helen Maurer on Oct. 19, 1941 in Cape Girardeau. She survives of San Antonio.

Also surviving are one brother, Don Poe of Columbia; and two sisters, Grace Cotner of Cape Girardeau and Bernice Kaplan of Las Vegas, Nev.
One son, Randy, preceded him in death.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
