POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Eugene C. McDannold, 92, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Nov. 20, 1922, in Madisonville, Mo.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired as a highway superintendent for Caltrans in California.

He and Jean E. York were married Aug. 15, 1946, at Atwood, Kan.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Diana Stotler of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff, with the Rev. Dan Snider officiating.
