Eugene "Gene" Haenni, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Feb. 11, 1939, in Villa Park, Ill., son of Otto and Elizabeth Haenni. He married and is survived by his wife, Patricia Haenni; two sons, Christopher Haenni of Detroit and Patrick Haenni of Springfield, Mo.; and one daughter, Katharine Wright of Washington, Mo. He also is survived by two sisters, Carol Orchard of Glendale, Mo., and Mary Ann Hayden of Florissant, Mo.
Dr. Haenni received his bachelor of science degree in education at Southeast Missouri State University and his master's and doctorate degrees at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
There will be no visitation or service. A private family service will be at a later date.
