EUGENE GEORGE

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Eugene A. George, 78, of Bloomfield died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter, Mo.

He was born Aug. 20, 1921, at Broseley, Mo., son of Esta Anthony and Flossie Bell Ringham George. He and Norma Lee Followell were married in 1965. She died Feb. 13, 1994.

George lived at Dexter and Bloomfield most of his life. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Bloomfield.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanie Baker of Dexter; two sisters, Tina Allstun of Dexter, Goldie Pry of Abilene, Texas; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Chuck Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
