Eugene Arnold Evans, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born in 1938 in Wyatt, Mo., son of Alonzo and Rebecca Kirkland Evans. He married Irma Crow Evans, who preceded him in death in May 2008.
Evans owned Eugene Evans and Sons Trash Co. 30 years.
Survivors include three sons, Arnold Evans of California, Ricky Evans of Jefferson County, Mo., David Evans of Charleston, Mo.; a daughter, Jackie Evans of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Robert Evans of St. Louis, James Ford of Racine, Wis.; three sisters, Amy Stafford of Jackson, Eunice Rachelle Evans of Racine, Ester Harris of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Evans.
He will be greatly missed by all.
