ADVANCE, Mo. -- Eugene Fred Brucker, 91, of Advance passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 26, 1925, in Painton, Missouri, to the late Joseph and Philomena Glastetter Brucker. He married Irline F. Menz on Dec. 1, 1945, and she survives of the home.

Eugene was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and a member of the St. Joseph Sodality, both in Oran, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Brucker, and two sisters, Cora Gosche and Loretta Harrell.

Survivors include his wife, Irline Brucker; two daughters, Jeannie (Perry) Bollinger of Oran and Mary Jo (Lynn) Thompson of Advance; four grandchildren, Jarret (Darlene) Bollinger of Scott City, Travis (Dena) Bollinger of Oran, Amanda (Brett) Ward of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Brent (Leslie) Thompson of Advance; and four great-grandchildren, Molly Thompson, Adalyn Ward, Kathryn Bollinger and Olivia Grisso and one on the way.

Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish rosary will be at 4 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
