KEWANEE, Mo. -- Eugene Jerald Brown, 86, of Kewanee died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009.
He was born April 11, 1923, in Jasper, Ark., to the late Glen and Delora Brown. He married Elizabeth Frances Hurley on Oct. 18, 1945. She preceded him in death April 2, 2004.
Survivors include four sons, Gerald Brown of Sikeston, Mo., Jim Brown of Imperial, Mo., Glen (Judy) Brown of Sugar Hill, Ga., Charles (Lisa) Brown of Jackson; three daughters, Frankie Blom of Sikeston, Linda (David) Porter of New Madrid, Mo., Judy (Scott) Harris of Jackson; 34 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Leonard Snow; a son, Carl Brown; and a grandson, Thomas Patrick.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom McCandless officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
