DELTA, Mo. -- Etta Swindell, 87, of Delta died Friday, May 18, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born on June 13, 1913, at Delta, daughter of Frank and Odie Young Medley. She and Amiel "Bunk" Swindell were married July 31, 1931. He died July 24, 1973...

DELTA, Mo. -- Etta Swindell, 87, of Delta died Friday, May 18, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born on June 13, 1913, at Delta, daughter of Frank and Odie Young Medley.

She and Amiel "Bunk" Swindell were married July 31, 1931. He died July 24, 1973.

Survivors include a son, Charles Swindell of Delta; a daughter, Anna Swindell of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Margie Fenimore of Kansas City, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo. The Rev. Eric Hodge will officiate. Burial will be in McGuire Cemetery near Burfordville, Mo.
