GALE, Ill. -- Funeral service for Mrs. Etta Lou Calvert of Royalton will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Calvert, 90 years old, died Tuesday, April 9, 1991, at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
She was born Oct. 20, 1900, at Gale, daughter of Thomas and Luda Thorp Jackson. She married K.D. Calvert Feb. 10, 1921, in Murphysboro. He died in March 1955.
Mrs. Calvert was manager of Red Bud Hotel until retiring in 1973. She was a member of First Baptist Church at Thebes.
Survivors include two sons, Henry Baker of Sheridan, Kenneth Calvert of Royalton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
