Ethel G. Wyndham, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Sept. 29, 1911, in Garland City, Ark., daughter of Lee Edward and Jennifer James Green. She and William Wyndham were married Feb. 5, 1928, in Garland City. He died Aug. 20, 1975.
Wyndham was a licensed practical nurse at Osteopathic Hospital six years, and at old St. Francis Hospital seven years, retiring in 1968.
She was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church and lifetime member of its Homemakers Club.
Survivors include a son, James Wyndham of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sally Cairns of Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two sons, three daughters, three brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
