ADVANCE, Mo.-- Ethel L. Stilts, 88, of Advance died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at the Advance Nursing Center. She was born April 21, 1917, at Arab, Mo., daughter of William and Toni George Arnold. Ethel and Franklin Stilts were united in married Sept. 17, 1932, and he proceeded her in death on Feb. 20, 1970...

ADVANCE, Mo.-- Ethel L. Stilts, 88, of Advance died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at the Advance Nursing Center.

She was born April 21, 1917, at Arab, Mo., daughter of William and Toni George Arnold. Ethel and Franklin Stilts were united in married Sept. 17, 1932, and he proceeded her in death on Feb. 20, 1970.

Stilts was a homemaker. She was a 60-year member of the Advance United Methodist Church and also part of the church quilting group. Stilts was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star 509 of Zalma.

Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Stilts of Advance; three granddaughters, Nancy Hisaw of St. Louis, Mo., Tammy Luechtefeld of Cedar Hill, Mo., and Stacey Stilts of California; two great-grandsons, Andrew Broombaugh of St. Louis and Matthew Luechtefeld of Cedar Hill; a sister, Ella Bennett of Advance; and two special angels, Marie Kelso and Lois Vavak, both of Advance.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Harold and Gary Stilts, seven sisters, a half brother and a stepsister.

Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Order of the Easter Star Service will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Eighmy officiating. Burial will be in McGee New Hope Cemetery at McGee, Mo.
