ETHEL P. MARTIN

Funeral service for Ethel P. Martin of Spotsylvania, Va., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. E.C. Brasington will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Martin, 100, died Tuesday, June 29, 1993, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Va.

She was born April 8, 1893, in Buncombe, Ill., daughter of Thaddeus and Sally Suit Proctor. She and Maple S. Martin were married June 14, 1913, at Jackson. He died Nov. 5, 1971.

Martin lived in Cape Girardeau from 1923 to 1989. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Order of Eastern Star here.

Survivors include a son, Robert Martin of Spotsylvania; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and two sisters.
