Ethel O. Brown, 71, of 105 Ranney, died at her home Thursday, Aug. 6, 1992. She was born Aug. 9, 1920 in Blue Springs, Miss., the daughter of John C. Peters and Virginia Savely Peters. She worked at Brown Shoe Co. from 1948 to 1953 in Charleston. On Oct. 31, 1953, she married William P. Brown in Sikeston. He preceded her in death Aug. 3, 1989...

Ethel O. Brown, 71, of 105 Ranney, died at her home Thursday, Aug. 6, 1992.

She was born Aug. 9, 1920 in Blue Springs, Miss., the daughter of John C. Peters and Virginia Savely Peters.

She worked at Brown Shoe Co. from 1948 to 1953 in Charleston.

On Oct. 31, 1953, she married William P. Brown in Sikeston. He preceded her in death Aug. 3, 1989.

She was a member of First General Baptist in Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by one son, William P. "B.B." Brown Jr., Cape Girardeau; two brothers, John Karl Peters, Anniston, John Albert Peters, Bertrand; two sisters, Mary Virginia Kellick, Bertrand, Helen Dale Lynch, Bertrand.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Chapel with the Rev. C.D. Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
