HIGH RIDGE, Mo. -- Ethel T. Massmann of High Ridge was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Oran, Missouri, to the late Theodore and Bernadine Eftink Kieffer and entered into rest Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at the Mary Culver Home in Kirkwood, Missouri, at the age of 97 years, 1 month and 5 days...

HIGH RIDGE, Mo. -- Ethel T. Massmann of High Ridge was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Oran, Missouri, to the late Theodore and Bernadine Eftink Kieffer and entered into rest Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at the Mary Culver Home in Kirkwood, Missouri, at the age of 97 years, 1 month and 5 days.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Massmann; and siblings, Adella (Buford) Trost, Paul (Mildred) Kiefer, Rita (Urb) Hinkebein, Theodore (Anna) Kieffer and Emma Kieffer.

She is survived by five children, Bernice (Dan) Burle, Clara (Frank) Sherwood, Irene (John) Kueffer, Diane (Mike) Menne and James (Norma) Massmann; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Kiefer and Jane Kiefer; and many friends.

Ethel worked as a seamstress for St Joseph Hospital. She loved sewing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3009 High Ridge Boulevard, High Ridge. Interment will be in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, St Louis.
