CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Ethel Johnson, 57, of Charleston died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at her home.
She was born Oct. 21, 1942, in Charleston, daughter of Tony and Samella Lord Hines.
Survivors include seven sons, Luther and Danny Hines, Clifford and Richard Johnson, James and Timothy Murray, all of Charleston, J.B. Standback of Sikeston, Mo.; four daughters, Mary McCain, Carolyn and Claudette Hines and Priscilla Johnson, all of Charleston; and her father of Charleston.
Also surviving are four brothers, Robert Hines of Paducah, Ky., Clifford, John and Charles Hines, all of Charleston; two sisters, Sandry Atchison of Charleston, Verlyn Davis of Seattle, Wash.; a friend, Melvin "Pee Wee" Whitney; 29 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bowden Civic Center, with the Rev. Lavern Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
