Ethel E. Headrick, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 10, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Sept. 29, 1916, at Sedalia, the daughter of Cameron Saucier and Sina Meyer Saucier. She married William H. Headrick April 7, 1939. He survives.

She was a graduate of Normandy High School and Southeast Missouri State University.

She was a teacher for 25 years in the Cape Girardeau Public School system and one year in Utah. She was a member of Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary and FISH. She was past president of a number of organizations, including the Retired Teachers Association, Tuesday Club, Beta Iota Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, honorary sorority for women educators, and the American Association of University Women.

She is survived by a son, William W. Headrick of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Edith Trost, of Valmeyer, Ill.; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, David W. Headrick.

A private service will be held Monday at Ford & Sons Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Neil Stein officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum. There is no visitation.
