VANDUSER -- Ethel Burton, 94, of Vanduser died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 30, 1903, in Russellville, Ark., daughter of Oscar and Mary Barker Coffman. She and Ira Allen Burton were married April 28, 1921, in Atkins, Ark. He died Dec. 3, 1988.
Burton was a former member of Vanduser Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Burton of Vanduser, Merle Burton of Blodgett; four daughters, Jewell Barrick, Hazel Hargrove and Pearl Rhodes of Vanduser, Olive Holt of Port Hueneme, Calif.; a sister, Elvie Knowles of Little Rock, Ark.; 25 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons, four brothers, five grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Leon Kitcherside and Dan Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Morley Cemetery at Morley.
