Ethel Grace Borgfield, 84, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Patton, Missouri, daughter of John Virgil and Grace Crites Gallup. She and Cletus Leon Borgfield were married June 1, 1957, in Patton.

Ethel was a 1955 graduate of Patton High School. She held various positions at the retail stores in the mall, where she enjoyed working with and visiting people. Ethel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Loving survivors include her husband of 64 years of marriage, Cletus Borgfield; two sons, Timothy (Lora) Borgfield of Jackson and Terrence (Christa) Borgfield of Porter, Texas; six grandchildren, Macie and Reed Borgfield of Jackson and Chelsea (B.J.) Egros, and Cassandra (fiance Eli Embrey), Cody and Catherine Borgfield of Porter; and two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Bella of Porter.

Also surviving is a sister, Imogene Seabaugh of Jackson.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a granddaughter, Terri Ann Borgfield.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday, Nov, 7, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethmeyer officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to a church or charity of the donor's choice.
