PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Esther Emelie Wills, 102, of Perryville died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville. She was born April 11, 1909, in Adams County, Neb., daughter of Carl Robert and Emma M. Ruhter Hohlfeld. She and Roy Wills were married Jan. 22, 1928, in Arriba, Colo. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1980...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Esther Emelie Wills, 102, of Perryville died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born April 11, 1909, in Adams County, Neb., daughter of Carl Robert and Emma M. Ruhter Hohlfeld. She and Roy Wills were married Jan. 22, 1928, in Arriba, Colo. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1980.

Mrs. Wills was a cook from 1969 to 1975 at Frieda's Restaurant. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and Berrean Bible Class.

Survivors include three sons, Dale R. (Melva) Wills, Vernon L. Wills, Herman C. (Nancy) Wills; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Wills, all of Perryville; 13 grandchildren, Allen, Curt, David, Charles, Bruce, Terry, Corey, and Ron Wills, Carla Adams, Cheryl, Jeffrey, Timothy and Melanie Wills; 28 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Walter A. Wills; a brother, Otto Hohlfeld; a sister, Lydia Ammons; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Wills.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School Building Fund, Radio Broadcast or Southeast Hospice.
