JACKSON -- Esther Whitledge Allen, 92, of Jackson died Thursday, Nov. 27, 1997, at Heritage Gardens in Jackson. She was born June 14, 1905, near Bloomfield, the daughter of Alex and Lucy Cotner Whitledge. She married to J. Allen on May 16, 1925, in Jackson. He died July 27, 1984...

JACKSON -- Esther Whitledge Allen, 92, of Jackson died Thursday, Nov. 27, 1997, at Heritage Gardens in Jackson.

She was born June 14, 1905, near Bloomfield, the daughter of Alex and Lucy Cotner Whitledge.

She married to J. Allen on May 16, 1925, in Jackson. He died July 27, 1984.

She was a member of Wesleyan United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Cape Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by two brothers, James Whitledge of Cape Girardeau and Herbert Whitledge of St. Louis; two sisters, Grace McNeely of Fruitland and Lois Morton of Jackson.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cracraft-Miller Chapel.

Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
