ESTHER WELKER

PATTON -- Esther E. Welker, 93, of Patton died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.

She was born June 2, 1905, at Patton, daughter of Henry and Clara Johnson Yamnitz. She and George T. Welker were married Oct. 6, 1927. He died Sept. 29, 1989.

Welker was a member of Reagan's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons, the Rev. Perry Welker of Fenton, Paul, Karol and Darrel Welker of Patton; three daughters, Vera Bishop of Iowa, Mary Ehlers of Perryville, Verna Gloth of Whitewater; two brothers, Raymond and Lancie Yamnitz of Patton; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. W.D. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
