ESTHER THORNE

ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Esther Thorne of Anna will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Chapel here. Steve Shepherd will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of service.

Thorne, 80, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born Aug. 10, 1912, at Anna, daughter of Tullie and Beulah Lamkin Dillow. She and Ernest L. Thorne were married Feb. 28, 1968.

Thorne was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Roberta McMahan of Anna, Patricia Graves of Joliet; a son, Gerald Thorne of Shorewood; five sisters, Isabel Lence of Cobden, Lorene Jenkins of Pico Rivera, Calif., Lillian Edgar of Coulterville, Virginia Yarnell of Fresno, Calif., Imogene Kneip of Minooka; 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
