ADVANCE, Mo. -- Esther M. Rogers, 89, of Advance died Monday, July 9, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 29, 1912, near Advance, daughter of Jake and Addie Golf Flowers. She and Samuel Rogers were married Nov. 18, 1929, at Lutesville, Mo. He died May 9, 1988.
Rogers was a member and secretary at Old Field General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Rogers of Advance; two daughters, Mary Whittley and Betty Andrews of Advance; a brother, George Flowers of Millersville, Mo.; two sisters, Mildred Stephens and Evelyn Welker of Cape Girardeau; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by twin sons, a brother, a sister, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Page will officiate. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
