JACKSON, Mo. -- Funeral for Esther Amy Casey of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes, Ill.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Casey, 93, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at Monticello House.
She was born April 8, 1908, at Wolf Lake, Ill., daughter of Franklin Marion and Josephine Ellen Hatley Winn. She and Lawrence H. Tucker were married Aug. 16, 1929, in Jonesboro, Ill. She later married Thomas Casey. Both preceded her in death.
Casey had been a postmaster. She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Thebes, and taught Sunday School and Bible School several years.
Survivors include two sons, Marion Tucker of McClure, Ill., Merle Tucker of Carson, Va.; a daughter, Helen Oxford of McClure; a brother, John Winn of Metropolis, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and three sisters.
