Ward, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 8, 1919, in Leslie, Ark., daughter of John Wesley and Arkansas Watts Branum. She married Clauvus Ward.

Ward attended Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jimmy Ward of Dexter; a brother, Bunyan Branum of Belmont, Calif.; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
