ANNA, Ill. -- Essie Aldred, 89, of Anna died Monday, July 6, 1992 at Hillview Health Center in Vienna. She was born Dec. 22, 1902 in Villa Ridge, Ill., daughter of Andrew J. and Pearl Lackey Chapman. She married Clarence E. Aldred, who preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1950...

ANNA, Ill. -- Essie Aldred, 89, of Anna died Monday, July 6, 1992 at Hillview Health Center in Vienna.

She was born Dec. 22, 1902 in Villa Ridge, Ill., daughter of Andrew J. and Pearl Lackey Chapman. She married Clarence E. Aldred, who preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1950.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Pulaski.

She is survived by a daughter Christine Weston of Jonesboro; one sister, Dorothy Hase of Carmi; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating.

Burial will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
