ANNA, Ill. -- Ervin L. Sadler, 79, of Anna died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at his home.
He was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Ware, son of James and Iva E. Edmonds Sadler. He and Lawanda Merriman were married in 1942 at Jackson, Mo. She died in 1950. He later married Shirley Ann Poole Modglin May 25, 1975, in Union County.
Sadler was a truck driver. He attended Anna Church of the Nazarene, and was a member of Anna Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Leonard Sadler of Anna; a daughter, Sue Abernathy of Buncombe; a stepdaughter, Edie Gieselmann of Chester; a brother, Kenneth Sadler of Jonesboro; two sisters, Judy Fowler of Jonesboro, Phyllis Goins of Cobden; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ralph Lee officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery.
