ERNST WEBER

ALTENBURG -- Funeral service for Ernst W. Weber, formerly of Altenburg, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ahlert J.C. Strand will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel from 6:30-8 a.m.

Weber, 80, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born Jan. 12, 1917, in Jacob, Ill., son of Adolph and Marie Rodewald Weber. He and Elvera E. Mueller were married Nov. 22, 1944.

Weber was a retired farmer. He was a member of Trinity Church and American Legion Post 133. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandra Weber of St. Louis, Betty Roth of Altenburg; two sons, Harlan "Butch" and Larry Weber of Altenburg; a sister, Rose Flaskamper of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and twin sisters.
