Ernest Ray Masters, 59, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born June 9, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, son of E.P. and Mary Gholson Masters.
Masters was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau, and 1957 graduate of Central High School.
He had worked at the Southeast Missourian Newspaper, Cape Electrical Supply, Pasta House Restaurant, and Werner's Grocery. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his mother of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Frank Masters of Jefferson City; and a sister, Mary Carrell of Anderson, Ind.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Franc Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
