ERNEST G. LAWRENCE

PERRYVILLE -- Funeral mass for Ernest G. Lawrence of Perryville will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

The Rev. Henry Grodecki, C.M., will officiate and burial will be at St. Marys City Cemetery.

Mr. Lawrence died Monday at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville. He was 79.

He was born April 12, 1911, at St. Marys, the son of Joseph and Rosie Winkler Lawrence. On July 15, 1933, he married the former Eleanor Clove, who survives.

He was a retired meat cutter and a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Lawrence of Perryville; a sister, Lorene Elder of Perryville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, Fred, Adolph, Hubert and Harry.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.

A catholic wake service will be conducted today at 7 p.m.
