Erna A. Wessel, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at the Lutheran Home. She was born March 26, 1905, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Robert and Veronica Schwab Keller. She and Albert W. Wessel were married June 2, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 26, 1990...
Erna A. Wessel, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born March 26, 1905, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Robert and Veronica Schwab Keller. She and Albert W. Wessel were married June 2, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 26, 1990.
Wessel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Gordonville and its Ladies Aid, and a charter member of Campster Welfare Club. She attended Campster School.

Survivors include a son, Harold Wessel of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Ruby Rehkopf of Advance; a sister, Marie Cunningham of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Church, with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
