Erma E. Meyer, 85, of Jackson died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 29, 1919, at Gordonville, daughter of Martin and Bertha Koch Grossheider. She and Arlon Meyer were married Dec. 27, 1942, at Gordonville. He died Nov. 17, 1990.
Meyer was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church at Gordonville, where she was church organist and member of the choir for several years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and a member of its LWML and the Elderberries. She was also a charter emmber of the Oak Grove Homemakers Club and a leader for the Oak Grove 4-H Club.
Survivors include three sons, Arlon Meyer Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Terry Meyer of Oak Ridge, Allan Meyer of Jackson; a daughter, Sue Schutzenhofer of Lamar, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Paul J. Short officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
