CHARLESTON -- Erlene DeField, 78, of Charleston died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born April 22, 1920, at Senath, daughter of George M. and Lula Jane Akers Dye. She and Gerald H. "Jelly" DeField were married Jan. 1, 1939. He died May 2, 1991.
DeField lived in Charleston most of her life, and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann and Dean DeField of the home; three brothers, George Dye of Glendora, Calif., Eddie Dye of Sedgewickville, Glen Dye of Cherry Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Irene Miller of San Pedro, Calif., and Betty Huntington of Wilmington, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
